The East End Crossing project includes a new bridge facility across the Ohio River, and associated roadway, tunnel, and facilities, connecting Clark County, Indiana and Jefferson County, Kentucky. The overall East End Crossing consists of an 8.5 mile roadway addition with the tunnel portion being 1,700 feet of the length. The tunnel is positioned under U.S. 42 and the historic Drumanard Estate, protected by the Historic Preservation Association. Aldea provided consulting services in connection with various technical aspects relating to the East End Crossing Project.
The Alaskan Way Viaduct Project comprised a double decker highway tunnel in soft ground directly beneath downtown Seattle, WA using a record 57.4ft diameter TBM through Seattle's abrasive soils. Aldea provided Expert Review as well as Risk Management services.
